Hey everyone!! Thanks so much for checking out my blog. My name is Jared and I enjoy visiting new breweries and drinking new beers. I have always enjoyed imbibing socially but got into the craft beer scene about four years ago. Then a friend introduced me to the app Untappd and from then on I rarely drink the same beer twice. In January of 2020 I started my Instagram @jaredthebeerguy to document the different breweries and places I visit and the different beers that I try. Just taking my Untappd a little further. Well this let me use my journalism background and my posts kept getting longer and longer. My following on Instagram kept growing and some of my friends and even people that I had just told about my page asked me about a blog. After multiple people kept mentioning blogging I thought I should look into it. So now I am taking the leap and I’m going to try my hand at it.

I will take you on my beer adventures. Tell you about the places I go and the beers I try. I feel that every brewery has its story and a lot of times a beer with have a story as well. I am here to let you in on breweries that you may or may not know.

I am also thinking about trying to brew a home brew beer as well. So you will definitely get to see that process and it for sure will be a process. I’m reading a book on it. I still have a lot to learn but in the near future I am going to give it a go.

Some other things I am interested in besides beer are running, traveling, meeting new people and playing with my puppy who is about to turn 7 months! Her name is Barley and she is a mix between a Red Feist and an American Fox Hound. She is so funny and a big mess but I love her! She also goes on some of my beer adventures so you will get to see some of her as well.
